Beyond the Labyrinth: A Journey Through the World’s Great Ideas
For as long as we’ve been human, we’ve been trying to draw a map of the universe. Some maps are beautiful but rigid; others are practical but cold.
In this new series of posts, I’m setting out to explore the intellectual scaffolding that holds up our world. We’re going to start in the deep, echoing halls of Scholasticism—a tradition that pushed logic to its limits but often found itself trapped by its own shadows. From there, we’ll travel through the disciplined resilience of Stoicism, the social harmony of Confucianism, and even the radical idea that a new language akin to Esperanto might be the key to thinking more clearly.

But this isn't just a history lesson. It’s an experiment. Along the way, I’ve used Generative AI to help synthesize these ideas and—most excitingly—to help create a chatbot based on La Gxoja Filozofio (The Joyful Philosophy).
Is philosophy a cage, or is it a key? Let’s find out together.

TL;DR -
The Hook: Is philosophy a cage or a key?
The Gist: I’m taking a sledgehammer to the idea that philosophy is just dusty books. We’re exploring everything from the rigid logic of Scholasticism to the inner calm of Stoicism and the social order of Confucianism.
The Twist: This isn't just theory—it’s an experiment in "Joyful Philosophy" (La Gxoja Filozofio), using Gen AI to synthesize ancient wisdom for a modern world.
