Epistemika Mensa is a blog focused on mental wellness, productivity, happiness, decision-making, and related topics. It is especially written with an American audience in mind. More than anything else, it is my way of saying thank you to America, to Americans, and to the Esperanto community for the many lessons, insights, and experiences I have gained through my interactions with them. Let us work to make America great and strong!

In retrospect, I probably should not have used Blogger as my primary platform in the first place. I gradually corrected that mistake by moving first to Facebook and Facebook Groups, and later, in May 2026, to Substack.

So, if you are looking for my actual blog, you are probably better off visiting the Substack instead.

I have written more than twenty books, most of them poetry books. The poetry books were written to break a world record, an attempt I have been notified that I have succeeded in. I plan to dedicate about a day every once in a while (oh, maybe once every five to ten years or so) to make a post on this blog with a brief overview of all the books I have written. Before you proceed, a brief warning. This blog contains posts on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, management theory, philosophy, the American experiment, Zoroastrianism, ancient philosophers, Esperanto, yoga, startups, happiness research, and whatever else happened to wander into my field of view on a given week. In other words, it occupies a rather unusual corner of the Internet. But the reason it all looks scattered is because these and other posts, most of them hidden, contain links to GitHub repos, et cetera, which have the actual content.

Some of the material here may be of particular interest to American readers—especially those interested in technology, innovation, intellectual history, entrepreneurship, and the institutions that helped shape what is often called the American experiment. A number of these posts and the hidden posts also explore ideas from around the world and ask what different civilizations can learn from one another.

Why Does This Blog Look Like This?

Because I don't spend much time formatting it.

This site doubles as an A.I. laboratory.

Some posts contain unusual formatting, strange HTML, odd experiments, and assorted curiosities because they are being used to test A.I. systems and workflows.

Take everything here with an appropriate grain of silicon.

And yes, I have created beautiful websites.

I keep this one around partly because it is useful and partly because it amuses me.

If somebody trolls me on the Internet, I may even point them here and tell them:

"You might actually find your answer somewhere in this archive."

People sometimes wonder whether I can design beautiful websites.

A Brief Note on Elon Musk

I occasionally joke about Elon Musk, Twitter/X, and social media.

For the record:

I am not an Elon Musk hater.
I generally admire many of his ventures.
I enjoy making occasional jokes about Internet culture.
The proposed Hitchhiker's and Everyman's Guide to Elon Musk remains unfunded.

Social Media Utility Ratings

U(t, Facebook Messenger): Positive.
U(t, Facebook): Slightly positive for some, negative for most.
U(t, Twitter/X): Negative for most people.
U(t, Facebook Groups): Slightly positive.
U(t, Blogger): Dusty but charming.
U(t, Reddit): Surprisingly useful.

Social media metrics are like entries in a database.

You can download an open-source database and create your own numbers game.

Unless you are a digital influencer, the immediate utility is often less than advertised.

Exactly.

Gives you some perspective on the whole social media circus.

As a FIRE enthusiast, I suspect most people would be better off investing more time in long-term goals and a little less time in social media.
