Introducing "Midnight's Children, new and improved": Haikus Unveiling India's Timeless Monuments

Dear subscribers,

I had posted earlier with the proposed book of cover of my new book of poetry. My publisher wanted me to redo the whole post. So, I have updated the entire post below, and also added the proposed book cover image. This entire post has been written using our company's A.I.

I do want to make a point about the book "Midnight's Children". I know that this book has won the Booker Prize and even the Booker of Bookers, but for the life of me, I cannot understand why it is so great. If the author really wanted to be fair to his readers, he would have done better to have just attached a graphic novel version of at least the first fifty pages of the book. Because, honestly, I kept losing the plot of the book as I went through it. Plus, I kept falling asleep, lol.

Il doit y avoir un moyen de raconter une histoire qui rende l’ensemble du processus élégant et simple. There has to be a way to tell a story that makes the whole process elegant and simple. This is just me, but I don't really his writing style all that elegant. Cela ressemble à un conteur plutôt étrange qui propose de nous raconter une histoire mais le lecteur ne peut même pas la comprendre facilement. It seems like a rather odd storyteller who proposes to tell us a story but the reader cannot even easily understand it.

If someone can please tell me in a few brief sentences why this is a major innovation in any sense of the term, I would be much obliged. If you look at the realm of intellectual property, you will see how people try to innovate in all sorts of areas where it really matters. That, to me, is real innovation.

Best regards,

Anand

Email to Nir Eyal

I network a reasonable bit even now. I used to network a heck of a lot more earlier. These days, I mostly use email. My basic philosophy of networking is to try and add value to the other person.

Here is an email I sent Nir Eyal.

~

Dear Nir,

We have a startup winding its way through several incubation programs (IIM Kashipur's program; the program at IIM Bangalore, one of Asia's top business schools). We would like to talk to you in regards to that.

Would you have 20 to 30 minutes for a Zoom meeting later this month? This would be towards an advisory role in this startup with compensation for your time, of course. There is a particular way I have in mind to connect the dots between your work and this startup.

In a few weeks, we will be pitching to VCs. We are also talking to Prof. Vijay Govindarajan at Dartmouth about this startup next month, and I will be bringing this up with Prof. Tyler Cowen. Is there any way you could let us know regarding your interest in working with us? If you are not interested, I totally understand and won't trouble you regarding doing this Zoom meeting for later in the month.

Best regards,
Anand

Update: my book with the new Theory of Art is also on Flipkart

Welcome back to Delfikorakle, my beloved blog in a new avatar. Please note that all our work has been moved to Facebook and subscribers to my blog have almost all been redirected. I keep this blog around mostly for sentimental reasons. It looks like the websites from the aughties and having lived through the aughties with my stylistic sense intact, I feel like I should keep this blog around as well - mostly for the retro vibe it has.

Here is some content that I wrote with the help of our company's A.I. Please take everything the A.I. says with large doses of salt, and let me know what you think.

Best regards,
Anand Manikutty

Welcome back to Delfikorakle, my beloved blog in a new avatar.

In this revamped blog, I'm thrilled to shift my focus towards the fascinating world of history. While I've previously explored the realms of strategic management and computer science, history has captured my heart and ignited a newfound passion within me. It's a discipline that demands humility as we encounter the stories of those who came before us, witnessing the rise and fall of civilizations. Truly, the mighty have often met their downfall! However, history is not only humbling but also incredibly captivating, with countless contributions from both experts and enthusiasts. As we delve into its depths, we gain a wider perspective by standing on the shoulders of giants.

I am always trying to give myself new challenges. My latest challenge was to write a book of poetry. And on that note, I'd also like to share an exciting update with you all: my book iof poetry, also presenting a fresh Theory of Art, is now available for purchase on leading platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. It's the culmination of my in-depth exploration into the world of art, offering unique insights and thought-provoking ideas. Below is a screenshot for your reference.

As for my work in history, I am working on a historical column for Namaste Bharat magazine. I'm grateful for your continued support, and I invite you to join me on this exhilarating journey into history. Together, let's unravel the mysteries of the past, celebrate the culinary achievements of remarkable individuals from times past, and reflect on the lessons that shape our present and future.

Thank you for being a part of Delfikorakle's evolution, and I look forward to sharing many insightful historical narratives and discoveries with you in the days to come.
